Lakshmanan Chidambaram (CTL) is President and Head of Americas Leadership Council at Tech Mahindra, and Americas Head, Mahindra Group. He has been the face of one of Tech Mahindra's largest business units since 2016, overseeing strategy, innovation, and expansion of the organization’s multibillion-dollar footprint across industries. He is responsible for a diverse range of industries, including banking and financial services, insurance, manufacturing, retail and consumer packaged goods, travel and transportation, healthcare and life sciences, energy and utilities, and the public sector, consistently delivering industry-leading growth and profitability.
In his capacity as Americas Head for the Mahindra Group, CTL is dedicated to enhancing the brand and expanding the business across Americas, fostering stronger connections and partnerships. His vast experience of over three decades intersects information technology, business processes, core engineering, and networks, where he has pioneered innovative business models and employed emerging technologies to achieve transformative results amidst a rapidly changing technological landscape. Notably, he played a crucial role in the successful integration and revitalization of Satyam post its acquisition by Tech Mahindra.
Before joining Tech Mahindra, he held significant leadership roles with comprehensive P&L responsibilities at Syntel and HCL. CTL is a staunch advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and environmental sustainability. His leadership philosophy emphasizes cultivating an environment that enables teams to live up to their true potential. He champions a culture centred around customer delight, making it the core of everything we do at Tech Mahindra.
CTL is a member of the Group Executive Board (GEB) of the Mahindra Group and serves as the Director and President of Tech Mahindra America. He has represented Tech Mahindra at the World Economic Forum, the WSJ CEO Council, and is a board member of the US-India Business Council (USIBC).
CTL has been part of the Mahindra Group's 18-month leadership program conducted in partnership with IMD Lausanne, Yale Business School, and Mahindra Learning University.
