Amarjyoti Barua is Additional Non-Executive Director on Tech Mahindra’s Board of Directors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in business administration.

He is the Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel (designated as ‘Group Chief Financial Officer’) of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M), with a career spanning over 25 years. He joined M&M in May 2023 as Executive Vice President - Group (Strategy). He is also a member of the Group Executive Board and the Chief Investor Relations Officer of M&M. Amar is also Non-Executive Director on the Board of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited.

Prior to joining M&M, Amar was a finance leader for the oilfield services and equipment (OFSE) segment at Baker Hughes. As the finance leader for OFSE, he was responsible for partnering with operations to deliver growth and profitability at the $14 billion, with 35000+ employee segment of Baker Hughes. Before Baker Hughes, Amari has held multiple roles at General Electric Co. (GE) over the course of 18 years. He was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for GE’s Power Conversion business.

He has also been the CFO for GE Mining, financial planning and analysis leader for GE India and Executive Audit Manager for GE’s corporate audit staff. In his early years with GE, he completed the financial management program and served as Finance Manager at GE Aircraft Engines in India before joining the corporate audit staff.
