Securing the Leadership On one hand the Chilean president was on the ground - he made it a point to be there at all times in the 70 days to drive the government machinery, provide the leadership to drive home support & confidence, and above all to mobilize his good offices to secure the best talent available in the industry to get the planning and the rescue started.
